If you are working on something, pick something that you think will be easy to work on. Then you will have more chance of success. If it is too hard, or even a little hard, most likely you’ll quit trying.
When we work on ourselves it becomes exponential, like a chain reaction. Once one thing changes, other things change.
I personally like to focus on ways where I can decrease where I have negativity, to increase the positivity.
Here is something that I found to be life changing for me. I used to go crazy because my kids would make the house a big mess. Some days I’d put up with it, and other days I’d get upset at them. Kids are kids and they really are messy, naturally. We can discipline our kids, but that takes time and effort. What I decided was that every morning after the kids leave, I’ll spend up to 1 hour cleaning up. Then the house is clean for me throughout the day - and that gives me joy. By the time they come home, the house is still clean and they can still do their thing. I do it all over again the next day, it’s part of my routine. Result is, I take responsibility for my needs, and they get to be kids. And in the meantime we slowly work on cooperation techniques.
This resulted in so much acceptance all around.
Hatzlacha to you all working on yourselves. What amazing people you are in my eyes!!!
