We visit my in-laws for the sedarim. My father-in-law lets me lead the second seder. This year I had prepared in advance, and I tried to incorporate some more insights into the seder. It’s a squirmy crowd (both kids and adults), but I got to get in some interesting ideas in a short amount of time. My son kept giving me warnings about how much time I had left, but I did get some pretty good participation out of him and other folks. I can build upon it for next year.
I plan on resuming my learning with my partner this week, and I hope to find time to do more learning this spring and summer. I feel more of a sense of rebirth from Pesach this year. I have kept up with counting the omer so far (thanks in part to text reminders), and I’m looking forward to the path leading up to Shavuot.
